Perfect match for Leica Macro-Elmar-M 90 mm f/4

The Leica Macro-Elmar-M 90 mm f/4 and the Macro-Adapter-M together use the live view function of the Leica M (typ. 240) (M10) to form a convenient solution for close-up photography.

This macro ring is designed to be mounted on the camera and 90 mm. Its integrated helical screw system allows the lens to extend between 18 and 30 mm, thus making it possible to change the reproduction ratio. When mounted on a macro ring, the Leica M 90 mm can also be used in the folded position for infinity exposures. Thanks to the new locking feature, photographers can set any distance from 41cm (1:2 reproduction ratio) to infinity without removing the adapter.

Since the Macro-Adapter-M is also compatible with other M lenses, it offers Leica M photographers even more creative composition opportunities. With 50mm and larger Leica lenses, it can achieve macro exposures with reproduction ratios of up to 1:2, and with wide-angle lenses, even larger ratios are possible. The distance from the lens to the object decreases as the focal length decreases. Use the adapter with a 28mm, 35mm or 50mm lens for stunning results. Short distances from the subject produce extremely distorted perspectives and highly selective sharpness. Because the imaging performance of these lenses is not optimized for such close focus distances compared to macro lens designs, it is advisable to stop them by one or two f-stops. It is not recommended to use the Macro-Adapter-M with lenses with a focal length less than 28 mm, as the lens-to-subject distance must be very short for proper focus.
